Granular Activated Carbon is a type of activated carbon characterized by its relatively large particle size, typically ranging from 0.2 to 5 mm. It is produced by the thermal or chemical activation of carbon-rich materials like coconut shells, coal, wood, or peat.
It has High Adsorptive capacity, High Durability as it retains structural integrity during use and regeneration. It is significantly versatile as it is suitable for both liquid-phase and gas-phase applications.
Granular Activated Carbon is used in Drinking Water Purification, Wastewater Treatment, Aquarium and Pool Filtration, VOCs Removal, Odor Control, Gas Purification. Its uses exceed to the Food and Beverage Industry, Pharmaceuticals, and Industrial Applications where it has a significant role in Solvent and Gold Recovery.
